The Goathouse Offer Bed and Breakfast in Laxton Nottinghamshire

Laxton is a small rural village in the midlands, dating back to the Norman Conquest.

Todays visitors can see the the site of the old castle at the outskirts of the village, and witness the regions best preserved motte and bailey castle.

You can also view the attractive, and attractive, church that dates back to 1190 and is still in use today.

Nonetheless, what makes Laxton truly individual is its usage of the medieval farming system.

This is the last open farming system in England and one can meander the fields yourself or go on a tour with a local, which we can arrange if you so wish.

There is a visitor’s cente in the village with free admission and lots more information about Laxton and its history.

At the heart of the village is the pub where you will discover fantastic value, local food and ale, as well as friendly locals who will gladly tell you a tale.

The Goat House at Ivy Cottage is in Laxton and dates back nearly two hundred years.

The Goathouse has just recently been renovated to a very high level, we provide excellent value for money b&b with a master bedroom, one twin bedroom and a family bathroom.
