Draws in Copenhagen

Attractions in Denmark

Visiting Copenhagen for the first time is, for most holidaymakers, an experience in easy living. Bikes all over, cheerful people and you can still be lucky to have several straight days without rainfall.

It is smooth to get round in Denmark, which is a little land with an elaborate substructure linking the 3 essential regions, Jutland, Funen and Sealand with bridgeworks, railway systems and expressways. The towns are spread about and getting a hotel is never painful, even the smallest townships do have reasonable hotels. If you want to book a hotel in advance, utilize the internet to get it.

The Danes are a good learned citizenry and the Danes interprets a lot of volumes- Like hotels, every town in Denmark have its own record store, and you’ll find plenty of online boghandel too. The Danes are said to be the most laughing individuals in the universe and everywhere you go, you’ll be greeted with a grin.

Denmark has a good deal of attractions like Legoland, Zoo, museums of all kinds, resorts specialized in wellness and Denmark do also have eating places which holds 1 or two Michelin Stars.

If you travel to Denmark be positive to do so in the summertime, wintertime can be lousy. In the summer, the Danes hurry to the beach, swallow coffee at one of the many open-air coffee shops or relish BBQ and cold beer in one of the many greens. Particularly the capital, Copenhagen is a green urban center with lots of grass and trees.

Shopping in Denmark can be exciting as well, Danish furniture and handworks are celebrated all over the world for superb and advanced design, and Danish Design is timeless and will stand for ever. For non occupants Copenhagen is not that expensive as you get tax returned on all such tokens. Hotels and eating houses are high-priced though.

Are You Content With Your E-Book Content? Five Improvements That Will Hook Your Readers

Planning to offer free e-books to your email subscriber list? Here are five ways to be sure that e-book gets saved to their desktop as opposed to getting tossed into the Recycle Bin.

1. Keep it simple.

Your free e-book should be a sample of what’s to come… marketing secrets revealed by a pro who knows what it takes to sell on the web! Keep it informative and entertaining, but don’t give away the whole story or there will be nothing left for the piece de resistance. What’s the climax? Why, that upcoming smoking promo that will be your seasonal cash cow, of course!

2. Keep it specific.

I can’t stress enough how much more credible you will appear if you reveal the details as opposed to “keeping it distressingly vague” like so many would-be marketers often do. Emotionally-charged copy is super, but don’t forget to answer every single Who What When Where How Why in EVERY chapter that you write!

3. Keep it clean.

ALWAYS choose a font that’s easy to read, no matter what line of business you’re in. This will be a book with lots of text. Book fonts are very different from headline fonts, and to confuse the two means an unprofessional look that means your e-book won’t make it past the SAVE AS prompt. Text should be 10-12 point, and no larger. Also avoid “busy color schemes, like bright blue text against a red table, as they do tend to vibrate.

4. Keep it organized.

I know it’s dull, but you MUST give your e-book numbered pages, a set of chapters and a Table of Contents where your reader can easily look up what he’d like to learn. Think of how much happier you feel when you can skip right to the section that you want to read most at that particular time. Your reader feels the same exact way as you do! So impress him with a little organization.

5. Keep it brief.

Again, this is supposed to be F*REE information. Please do not stress yourself out with hours of blood, sweat and tears in an effort to create what should be a simple but informative e-guide. Make it easy on yourself; outline your topic into three or four sections, sub-categorize again, divide into main points and then fill in the details. All told, you should have no more than 15 pages (and no less than 8 if you want to be considered an expert.)

That’s it, simple as pie and your e-book is packaged and ready to ship via email express. Congratulations! You’re on your way to graduating to Pro Marketer status.

Enriching Your Everyday Schedule Using Audiobooks

Click here and go to this marvelous site for Greek language learning pointers!

Double Homicide by Jonathan Kellerman and Faye Kellerman is surely great reading, but today’s busy life-styles can make reading difficult to achieve. Long commutes to the office and day-to-day activities could eat up enormous chunks of leisure time without you seeing it. Your favorite pursuits take a back seat to earning a living, getting the children, or even taking care of the house and bills. You could simply use the time you spend driving to catch up on those books you can’t get around to reading. Thanks to media files, you can spoil yourself with Falls by Joyce Carol Oates available from Download Audio Book Online, or audio books recounted by Jeffrey Rogers Hummel when you are busy doing other things. Multi-tasking has become unavoidable in today’s fast paced world. Audiobooks like Body To Die For by Kate White available from Download Audio Book Online make better use of of the wasted time in our daily routine, whether it is time passed waiting at the physician’s office or maybe buying groceries. Many audio-books may be downloaded right now in mp3 format including Discover Your Sales Strengths by Benson Smith and Tony Rutigliano, so if you have an iPod or other mp3 player and use the opportunity to listen to a best seller or a wonderful novel, like audio-books written by Lois P. Frankel without carting cumbersome books with you.

An extra advantage of audio titles is the chance to rent or purchase educational books and peruse them at your own pace. Interested in learning another language? Try an audio-book! It’s easy to review the very latest business trends, or you can enjoy studying the latest opinions in religious belief. A massive selection of writing styles and titles are accessible. It doesn’t matter if you love history, crazy about science fiction and fantasy or even if your interests lie in health and physical fitness, many are available through online downloads. Options are wide open; it’s easy to take a subscription to a rental service or purchase the title outright. Reading fans can invariably seek out a place to read, even so audio books offer a convenient alternative. Numerous narratives, for instance audio books narrated by Blair Singer, can be even better when performed by the author or a famous actor. Reading a title isn’t the same experience as listening to an audio book recounted by Gordon B. Hinckley, including the additional refinements of an actual performance. Hearing audio-books narrated by Alan Bennett can add something special to your enjoyment of reading and in many cases can mean more than the written word. Don’t forget audio books when you next want to purchase a novel, audiobooks can be effective way to squeeze the learning you would like to achieve into a frantic schedule.

Investment Books Review #1: Market Wizards - Essential Reading for All Traders

Market Wizards by Jack D. Schwager is essential reading for any trader, as it gets inside the minds of some of the world’s all time best traders - and they’ve collectively made billions.

Whilst these traders are all different in character, and the trading methods they deploy, they all share the common traits that you must have to make big profits consistently.

Let’s look at Market Wizards, and How Jack Shwager manages to put together a classic work of trading insight.

Market Wizards Format

The format of the book is essentially just interviews of some of the greatest traders of all time, and them sharing their wisdom. They may all be different types of traders, but in many ways, they’re all the same in terms of essential character traits - and this is why Market Wizards is such a valuable book.

Market Wizard Trading Strategies

Readers are not going to learn specific trading strategies, as none of the traders discusses specifics - they only make generalizations. There are however some points that are revealed about their methods of trading:

. Most of the traders have essentially simple strategies, which they use to make money.

. The trading method, or strategy is only one part of the equation - the other is discipline, which comes from confidence.

. All the traders know their strategies work - they’ve developed and tested them - and have the confidence to continue following their strategies through losing periods.

Many traders make the mistake of trying to follow other people’s methods, and of course, when losses occur they lose their discipline and lose money.

Character traits that are common to all the traders interviewed by Jack Shwager include:

1. All those interviewed had the desire to succeed, and the mindset to achieve their goals - with many overcoming significant obstacles along the way.

2. All the traders have supreme confidence in what they are doing - and have the attitude that they will make money.

3. All the traders talked of discipline as being key to success.

4. All the traders focus on protection - and stressed money management as a key element in trading.

5. All the traders stressed patience - and waiting for the right opportunity.

6. All the traders stressed acting independently and staying away from the crowd.

Finally, they all stressed a love of what they do.

When you read Market Wizards, you are struck by the fact that no one can actually give you success - it’s up to you and you alone.

You need to rely on yourself.

Trading is actually quite simple, but to get the right mindset, and method, and be able to apply it with discipline, requires unwavering self believe and confidence.

Market Wizards by Jack D. Schwager, is simply one of the most inspirational trading books of all time, and is required reading for novice or pro - as this book can put you on the road to trading success.

Review: Would You Like To Live The James Bond Lifestyle?

Author: Paul Kyriazi
ISBN: 0971618305

Author, writer and director of several feature films, Paul Kyriazi, is quite an
expert on James Bond, as evidenced from his recent tome, The Complete James Bond
Lifestyle Seminar. Kyriazi promises to put you on the path to turning your life
around and realize your dreams, provided you follow his twenty-one rules of the
James Bond lifestyle.

The book begins with a look at your base of operations or your living quarters,
and readers are asked to determine if it is clean, organized and comfortable.

To illustrate the importance of these elements, Kryiazi refers to Dr.No, where
we have a rare look at Bond’s apartment. Notice, as the author mentions, there
is no clutter, it is clean and organized. Another example is Bond’s office, as
seen in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service- once again all of these elements are
very much in evidence. In other words, everything in the James Bond lifestyle
starts in your mind - “clear organized thinking begets a clear organized mind.”

From here the book’s chapters are tight and focused dealing with more of the
seminar’s rules such as the importance of never running out of cash. The author
points out that money is a symbol of neutral energy, and what is vital is to
know how to circulate the money. Never be afraid of carrying around too much
cash in a money clip. As for the fear of being robbed, the author says that he
has heard more than one person say that they were very glad to have something to
give to the robber.

Some of the other rules explored and examined are the necessity of adapting and
improvising when it comes to life’s challenges, what you wear and how to wear
the proper clothing, never give up, getting good value of your time and money,
act professional on the job, tip freely like Bond, constantly keep learning by
reading at least one book a week, renting what you need and take mental
possession of it, chose your contacts carefully and avoid villains.

Although some of the material presented is a rehash of what has been written in
an endless stream of books on how to turn your life around, the overall effect
is still somewhat addictive. There is always the allure of trying to live like
James Bond, and perhaps even ask yourself every time you face a challenge, what
would James Bond do in this situation? However, as we will never be James Bond,
and as Kryiazi maintains, what is so wrong in being yourself and living the
lifestyle you want.

The mixture of the author’s words of wisdom with the tidbits taken from Bond’s
movies makes for a compelling read, particularly if you are a Bond fan. Will the
twenty-one rules turn you life around? I guess you will have to try them to find
out.

Book Review - Ultrametabolism: The Simple Plan for Automatic Weight Loss

“No wonder it’s so hard to lose weight- our bodies are designed to keep weight on at all costs; it’s a matter of survival. It’s embedded in our DNA.” In essence, we are designed to gain weight, expounds Mark Hyman, M.D. in his new bestselling book Ultrametabolism: The Simple Plan for Automatic Weight Loss. This books follows on the heels of his previous bestseller, UltraPrevention: The 6-Week Plan that Will Make You Healthy for Life that he coauthored and proves to be every bit as informative. Dr. Hyman, who has a passion for the cutting-edge science of Western medicine and alternative health for over 20 years, maintains that Ultrametabolism: The Simple Plan for Automatic Weight Loss is not just another of many weight loss books on the market. Rather, the book is your body’s owner’s manual for overall health. He distills his knowledge into a healthy lifestyle, which reduces the factors of a number of epidemic health problems and degenerative diseases currently plaguing us, while at the same time we also gain the positive side-effect of weight loss.

Ultrametabolism: The Simple Plan for Automatic Weight Loss dives in by turning much of what we believe as conventional wisdom concerning weight loss on its head. Much of what we think we know about weight loss actually has been making us gain weight. As evidence, the book points to the fact that despite the $50 billion we spend on weight loss every year in America, whether it’s diet pills, programs or exercise routines, they all have a dismal success record. In fact, for every diet we go on, we end up gaining five pounds on average in the long run. Obesity is now overtaking smoking as the number one cause of preventable deaths with almost 70 percent of the adult population and one third of our children now overweight. Compounding the problem are the profitable foods the food industry pushes, entrenched pharmaceutical companies and our own government’s recommendations, especially when it comes to the “food pyramid” or low fat in our diets.

In part I, Ultrametabolism: The Simple Plan for Automatic Weight Loss exposes seven hoary myths that make us unhealthy, gain weight and keep it on. First there is the Starvation Myth: Eating less and exercising more does not equal weight loss. Next is the Calorie Myth: All calories are created equal. Third is the Fat Myth. Eating fat makes you fat. Fourth is the Carb Myth. Eating a low carb or no carb diet will make you thin. Fifth is the Sumo Wrestler Myth: Skipping meals helps you lose weight. Sixth is the French Paradox Myth: The French are thin because they drink wine and eat butter, and last but not least is the Protector Myth: Government food policies and food industry regulations protect our health. Moreover, the book points out that the introduced man-made substances such as “trans-fats”, which are found in nearly every processed and packaged food because they never spoil, are adding to our overall exploding health and weight problems over the past 30 years. This consumable plastic disrupts our metabolism by actually turning on a gene in your DNA, which slows metabolism causing you to gain weight. The book also discusses another danger to our health: the man-made supersugars, such as high-fructose corn syrup, which is used to sweeten almost everything these days including soft drinks. These supersugars quickly enter your bloodstream and trigger hormonal and chemical changes which induces insulin surges that tell your brain to eat more and your fat cells to store more fat.

If there are substances and foods that we eat that can trigger negative results, then surly there are ways to make us healthy and loose weight. Part II of Ultrametabolism: The Simple Plan for Automatic Weight Loss gives us the keys to turn on our metabolism and fat burning genes, turn off your weight gain genes, and program your body to lose weight automatically. The book takes this even further in part III by providing menus and recipes, along with exercise and lifestyle treatments designed to create healthy metabolism and overall health. This section of the book is designed so it can be customized to meet your unique genetic needs to optimally awaken your fat-burning DNA.

Ultrametabolism: The Simple Plan for Automatic Weight Loss provides a vivid road map to navigate our way back to health and fitness. And in so doing we will be successful in our quest for long-term weight loss without counting calories, fat grams or carbs. We don’t have to starve ourselves; we simply need to eat in harmony with our genes.

Square-Jawed Men and Hourglass Women: A Review of Jack Hamm’s Drawing the Head and Figure

You know how the style of illustration used back in the 1950’s and early 1960’s - when all the men had broad chests and lean, chiseled features - and all sort of looked like FBI agents? They wore suits and hats and had squinted a lot? When the women were perfectly proportioned and stylishly dressed, even if they were washing the dishes or making a drink for their husbands? Well, that’s the kind of drawing you will learn from Drawing the Head and Figure, from Jack Hamm. First published in 1963, and still popular today, this book teaches a style of figure drawing that is sleek, elegant and totally retro.

Hamm provides many excellent tutorials on the proportions of the head and figure, which makes this book particularly good for beginners. He provides simple guidelines on getting the proportions of the figure correct, how to draw a face, how to depict various poses. And the guy gets really detailed - he has three pages just devoted to drawing noses. Believe me, if you really study his lessons, the drawing a nose will never be a problem again. There is not a lot of fluff here - just straightforward instruction on drawing people. And the best part about it is, the people look like Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe. For a book that costs less than $10, that is hard to beat.

I love this book. Other books show you how to draw people. This one shows you how to draw glamour.

Certainly the Truth - Lacking Many Quality Jokes

Where Al Franken’s’s last book was Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them was funny, educational, and inspiring, his new endeavor, The Truth (with Jokes) is scary and a little depressing.

Don’t get me wrong– there are a few sections in the book that are really funny, but those parts seem to be scarce. One such hilarious comes a Al realizes that one of his favorite people, Sean Hanity seems to completely ignore any attempts to thwart his lies. He goes on as if they were truth regardless of the facts. Thus, Al takes a different approach to fighting them. Al debunks a list of Sean Hanity’s accusations of John Kerry being a “flip flopper”, and after each one makes up a lie about Sean Hanity, as Al see this as a better way to combat him. Now, the individual lies aren’t all that funny in and of themselves, but Al seem to have great execution in this section. Comics often talk about timing as being the most important aspect of doing comedy well. I used to think this rule only applied to the spoken word, but Al managed to keep me laughing through this entire chapter. Just as my laughter subsided, all would present another lie about Hanity that would start my laughter al over again.

But alas, most of the book wasn’t very funny. Certainly there were places that it was obvious that it was supposed to be funny, and many that invoked a grin, but nothing like what I have come to expect from Al Franken. Maybe his 3 hour a day radio show has drained his previously overstocked supply of really funny jokes.

Also, the book seems to be lacking any inspirational call to action. There is a lot of time spent on how much Bush and Company screw up, and how their policies are driving our country off a cliff, but almost none on how we can move forward as a party.

But, don’t think that this is a bad book, or that it isn’t worth reading. It is really an eye opener in many ways. Al tells us of the unethical, greedy adventures of Jack Abramoff and his friends in Congress. He exposes the real reasons Kerry Lost in 2004 Most prominently he shows how badly the Bush administration screwed up in Iraq. Prior to Al’s well cited explanation, I was under the assumption that although Bush led us into an unjustified war with Iraq, he had done as good a job as an would at the execution of the war. Boy was that wrong. By closing his eyes and ears to the advice of many really smart people on both sides of the political spectrum, Bush fought a war based on positive-thinking rather than real strategy based in reality.

My advice is, borrow this book from a friend or your local library. At least wait until it comes out in paperback. I do recommend reading it before the 2006 elections, as it really is a valuable political resource and its a quick read (I finished it in just over two days). But, if you’re looking for a good laugh, you’re probably better off turning on The Daily Show or cracking open the latest edition of the Onion.

Queens and Crescents - Book Review

What certainly stood out for me in Barry Southers novel,
Queens and Crescents, was his strong and deep feelings
for his family that Barry made apparent in the dedication for
this book. The love and appreciation he shares here is
actually quite touching. The introduction does a good job of
setting up the book through a discussion of happiness and
success in today’s society.

Readers will find plenty of action and suspense in this
murder romance novel. The main character here is Sean
Martinez, a 28-year-old divorcee who works a mundane
position in a mortgage broker firm. For Sean, life is just one
day blending into the next. He just could not get over his wife
leaving three years ago with her old lover. If there were a
need for an example of a man in dire need of a vacation,
Sean would be chosen.

Spurred on by a radio commercial one excruciatingly hot
day, Sean’s vacation destination is decided for him. There,
he finds true love, fascinating passion and discovers the
power of intuition and fate. Cruel crime lords fighting for
position, bloodcurdling hired killers and a heavy loss bring
Sean back into living life for what it is.

I was impressed with Barry’s writing style because I could
really picture the scenes in my head. I felt he delved deeply
into the psyche of his characters, making them seem much
more real than many authors are able to do. Queens and
Crescents may take readers only a day or two to read, but
the characters will remain alive in their minds for a number
of days.

Google Profits: It’s Not Just A Google Cash Rehash

Finally a book that truly demystifies making money online, and does it in plain English. Google Profits by Wade M. Winger (edited by Denise Blankenship) is an online business related ebook centered around earning money through Google AdWords and ClickBank affiliate products.

What To Expect From Google Profits

The book is geared to those who are new to online or affiliate marketing and can even be of great value to intermediate affiliate marketers. Google Profits explains, in plain English, what an affiliate program, Pay Per Click advertising, ClickBank, and Google AdWords are and why the latter two are the focus of the ebook.

Google Profits continues by explaining how to select affiliate products from ClickBank to market using the 5 step success formula.

  1. Find a product
  2. Set up an advertising campaign
  3. Identify profitable campaigns
  4. Start a full campaign
  5. Expand (make more money)

Each step has supporting information separated into two parts: Information and Action. The information section gives an overview of the step and why it’s important. The action step outlines exactly what you need to should do using the information provided.

Demystifying Google AdWords And Taking The Easy Route With ClickBank

Coming from an Internet Marketing background, I must say that most of the content provided is based on sound advice such, especially the section on developing profitable AdWords campaigns. However, I don’t fully agree with his suggestion to blatantly copy other advertisers if you draw a blank for advertisements.

It seems like a very bad habit in my opinion and doesn’t teach creative thinking. I would suggest emulating the other advertisers. Learn from their ad and then craft a better one.

In addition to the excellent section on developing successful AdWords campaigns, I wish the book included at least a small section on how to manage or keep track of the campaigns. That was an instance that I was glad to have Rosalind Gardner’s Super Affiliate Handbook because it has some great tips for managing and estimating the profitability of AdWords campaigns.

The section on expanding the successful campaigns could have also used a few more details on the advertisers other than Overture and Search123 needing a landing page.

A brief blurb on why he liked the listed advertising sources, any caveats to using them, and any other notes the reader should be aware of before deciding to use them would definitely have enriched the section.

But all in all, my mind was finally able to wrap itself around some of the concepts which seemed so confusing in other articles or ebooks. I now have a much clearer understanding of how to get started advertising with Google AdWords. While it may not be the definitive guide to Google AdWords, it’s certainly enough to get someone ‘new to the game’ started right away.

When Google Profits gets into the ClickBank section, the book states “go to ClickBank and search through the 11,000+ affiliate programs.” That may cause some confusion to someone just starting out because ClickBank does not have search function. But he does clear it up when he goes into the explanation for finding the products via the ClickBank marketplace.

Google Profits Makes For Easy Reading

Google Profits is written for the layman, complete with a step by step walk through and screen shots. While the language wasn’t completely elementary, it didn’t contain an overabundance of technical or ‘buzz’ words.

The paragraphs were of a manageable length and the size of the font when printed made for comfortable reading. Because of this relaxed writing style, language, and structure, I found learning from it to be exceptionally easy and enjoyable.

However, there were an odd number of simple grammatical errors for an ebook which has an actual editor. Though not many, it was still slightly perturbing to see them. But not to worry, they certainly didn’t take away from the readability or informational integrity of the ebook itself.

This is an ideal book for those just starting out online or even intermediate online marketers who have been shying away from using Google’s AdWords program because it seemed too complicated or time consuming. I actually felt pumped up and eager to get started before I even arrived at the first ‘Action’ section, but I wanted to read it through once for comprehension before starting.

Final Thoughts and Helpful Advice When Getting Google Profits

If you truly want to get started online with affiliate marketing, it doesn’t get any easier than Google Profits, but make sure you have at least $100 to build up some momentum. Once you’ve established yourself in the black, then take some of that profit and reinvest in to build up a stable monthly income.

If you wish to truly expand and build a business out of affiliate marketing, I’d recommend purchasing Rosalind Gardner’s Super Affiliate Handbook to expound on the Google Profits Success Techniques.

At the end of the day, I give Google Profits 4 out of 5 stars.
